Birch class
Autumn 2020
Welcome back! I hope you have all had a lovely half term despite the dreadful weather. This half term the children will be learning about the polar regions a long with some more specific geographical features of our world including lines of longitude and latitude, time zones and biomes.
In Maths, the children will be continuing work on addition and subtraction and using a more formal method to work out longer calculations before moving on to multiplication and division.
In English, we look forward to starting a new book in a couple of weeks called ‘Winter’s Child’ where we will be writing our own stories and we are going to stick with the same theme of Winter for our D&T sessions by making a snow scene in a box!
Can I remind all parents if your child has to isolate can they please be guided by the Autumn 2 timetable under remote learning as well as work that will be set on google classroom.
I hope you are all well and staying safe,
Many thanks,
Mrs Georgeson
